Mist in the Air

Mist in the air, 48 degrees, hmmmmm---could be snow---maybe/maybe not. Who knows this is KS. Have all the rocks/leaves spread/tools put up. Went to Mass this AM, had breakfast with a friend, stopped to get a news paper, and trying to work up interest to pick up my office. Have accumulated lots of paperwork and put it all on the office desk. Just need to sort, shred, and file. May read a little before getting started.

The "boys" look great. They were so good on the way to and from the groomer yesterday. Love these surprises---just when I diss them they prove me wrong. Plan to keep them short groomed all year long. May even plan to start the walks again. Will start (after Thanksgiving) with Rowdy then add a dog a month. Buster acts like he can't jump up in the chair and Spencer still favors his left leg. They will have to show me they are more physically able to meet the task at hand (or paw) before I tackle taking all of them on walks.
Stay healthy this weekend, be safe, and keep in touch.
Love,
Mom

Breezy Day

Sunny , breezy cool morning. Back from Mass, exterminator here, dogs BARKING!!!!! Just doesn't get much better than that. Love the sound of the wind to deafen the barking, nervous coughing/sneezing, and whining. Buster is stressed, acting like an animal, and the other two could care less. Have them cordoned off in the kitchen with me while the spraying is going on. These are the days when I question the attributes of these little creatures.

Have a busy day planned, grocery shopping, doing laundry, cleaning the house, yada, yada, yada.
Hope your day is safe, keeping healthy, and in touch.
Love,
Mom

Ma's projects

Another Gerbera daisy. (double click to check out the ant on the lower bottom left petal) A little imperfect but vibrant color, so hardy, and another one of the volunteers from last year. Got my very reasonable water bill yesterday. This daisy shall continue to be watered and hopefully, return again next year. It is 63 degrees this AM.

Plan to go to Mass, take Vicki and Joe to surgery center for his hernia repair, go by the post office, run some errands, do some ground prep where in the shed space, then go to a meeting tonight from 6:30 to 9:30pm (a training session so I will be able to volunteer time at the school this year). I am also signed up to help with enrollment the week of 08/05/09. Did it last year--must have done okay for them to ask me back.

Signed up yesterday for a Friends of the Family card at Sutherland Lumber. Great deal--no charge, it will give me 5% return, payable every 6 months on all purchases. That will come in real handy since I will be buying all of the siding, etc. for this next project (which is now delayed until end of July.)

Please keep good thoughts, stay healthy, be safe, and keep in touch.

Mom
