Hot and Humid etc.

Still hot, too hot, really hot....Hot, hot, hot!!!! Trying to do yard work in the early mornings before/after Mass---finished the mowing at 11:00am yesterday at a sweltering 103 degrees---showered (2nd of the day), gathered the 3 Dogmingos, and took an hour nap. Nice.

Mass this AM, volunteered at rectory, PM eye MD appt, evening committee meeting then hope to chill.

Fun in the Sun

Just spent a wonderful 11 days w/NJ grandchild/great grandchildren. What a fun time---loved every minute of it!  

The house is quiet (except for the usual barking). Busy day planned--Mass this AM, dogs to groomer, run some errands. mow the back yard before the heat sets in, then stay in doing laundry and inside house stuff.

Nice

So great to be up early in the morning. Cup a coffee, walk thru the flower garden, listen to the birds, watch the spiders in their webs, catch the bees doing their early morning, take some pics---that's what I do---Nice. Has been wonderful having little people and fun kids in the house---better than Nice.

Busy Day Yesterday

Tried to get out and about while it was still temperature tolerable. Did some material shopping and went to a movie in the afternoon. Enjoyed the time spent w/out of towners. Got a cool postcard from my "cruise" family. Great hearing and having family visits. Luvin' it.

Found another mole tunnel in the back yard while mowing last Friday (Taylor can provide more details). The mole was evasive (or so he thought). I have been after it all week and finally did the "mole thing" yesterday afternoon/evening which brings the record Ma 5, moles 0. Thinking of hiring out.

Heat Wave

Know it is hot every where---but come on---111 degrees here yesterday. Ran the sprinklers 2 times yesterday just to try and keep plants alive. Took trip out to look at some fabric but stayed inside most of day---didn't even cook. Have enjoyed eating out w/family. Have I mentioned????---am loving having out of town family here for a visit.

Company

Loving having out of town company. Soooooo much fun to see/be with these little ones and their Mommie. Might go to a movie today. Spent the day w/Keith, Becky and "Nack." Great fun.

Ma and Moles

Ma 4, Moles 0. Cool AM--great for dead heading flowers and finding moles. Found a fresh tunnel, flushed it out, dug up a plant in the process, w/shovel in hand, chased the "boys" across the back yard as they did a squealing mole relay. Caught them, rearranged the moles vertebra,  and tossed it over into the back field from whence it came. Now that's the start of a great morning. (Will spare you the sight of the demise.)

Off to the Zoo this AM w/ out of town family. Might go several times---just to see it all.
