Got a considerable bit of paperwork completed yesterday. Stayed in rest of the day following Mass. Brought in more firewood, built a nice fire, watched some recorded shows on TV, snoozed a bit in the recliner, was in bed by 9:30pm w/3 snuggling "boys".Mass this AM, volunteer at the rectory, then off to enjoy the day with the card club ladies. Canasta is the game of the day. It is cold, it is foggy, it is icy on some of the streets but nothing stops these ladies from showing up to play cards. Think I may finally be getting a handle on why someone loved to go to McD's and Echo Hills though cards will NOT become a daily event. The company is certainly entertaining and makes me laugh. Laughing is good. Glad I have someone at the house to be with the "boys" during long day.
